The gardens at Whitehall Mansion are one of the loveliest wedding venues in Louisville and I’m so honored to have captured Jared & Caroline’s wedding day there last June. Happy anniversary, you two! From the moment I talked with Caroline, her personality shined right through the phone. She is so kind, vibrant, and makes you […]

Neil & Kaylee: A Richwood on the River outdoor wedding Louisville KY None of us knew what 2020 would bring. For Neil & Kaylee, they got engaged and planned for a beautiful 2020 May wedding. Unfortunately, circumstances forced them to postpone to June, but oh my what the perfect day it was. A Richwood on the […]

Churchill Downs Wedding KY

Hello blogging world! I am back! I’ve taken a few years off to have babies (yes, multiple babies if you didn’t know!), but that’s a whole other blog post. This post is all about Tanner & Celeste and their incredible colorful Churchill Downs wedding day. I see so much of myself and my husband Matt […]

The Gardencourt was the perfect spot for their #Brunetsoi·rée with its incredible architecture, lovely gardens, and old world charm. The history geek in me loves all the historical/vintage venues. Kathryn’s dress literally made me giddy and the fact that she was ecstatic to just twirl and enjoy her dress makes her my kind of gal! Peter gave his groomsmen custom engraved pocket watches, which is one of the neatest groomsmen gifts I’ve seen. The flowers were perfect, the food was tasty, the weather was awesome, and the dancing was on point!

Jon & Amanda have an enchantingly kind quality about them that just poured over into every aspect of their wedding day: the stunning old mansion, lovely flowers, family-filled wedding party, personal touches, and sweet, sweet interactions. It was just a wonderful day that I know I won’t forget anytime soon!

Peterson Dumesnil House Wedding

Caleb & Aline: Peterson Dumesnil House Wedding I had the amazing opportunity to photograph this spring wedding at the historic Peterson Dumesnil House. Matt attends seminary in Crescent Hill and I’ve driven along the block next to this house hundreds of times and yet this quaint, historic home sat just up a hill off a […]

The Pointe Wedding Louisville KY

The Pointe Louisville KY Wedding As I was beginning this wedding day at The Pointe in Louisville KY, I noticed something. Kellsy left no detail untouched. She put her and Tommy’s stamp on each and every element of this beautiful, joyful, unique day. We joked with Tommy that he was great at wedding planning. But […]

Andrew & Kate: Summer Mount St. Francis Maternity Session

The maternity season is so fleeting even though in the moment, especially the last 6ish weeks, it feels like forever. I love getting to help friends remember this brief time when the anticipation of meeting your newest love is high and the discomfort may be even higher, haha. A woman’s body is remarkable and in […]

Austin & Abbie: Southern Bed & Breakfast Engagements

I know the months of November-March aren’t the most ideal for photos. The grass turns brown, the trees are bare, and of course, it’s generally COLD. But there is just something so lovely about wintertime, even without snow. The light is softer and more flattering because the sun doesn’t get quite as high in the […]

Behind the Lens: Fading Wedding Memories

With it being the off-season, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my business, weddings, and my own wedding. As a wedding photographer, I get asked lots of questions about the decisions I made for my wedding – what I’d change – what advice I would give to other brides-to-be, and I have […]

Cherokee Park Door to Nowhere Winter Engagement

Cherokee Park and Door to Nowhere Engagement: Most of us across the country are definitely feeling winter! It’s been cold EVERYWHERE. My scarves, thick socks, and winter coat have been getting a lot of use! On New Year’s Eve, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Peter and Kathryn to do their engagement photos […]

Album: Marcus & Samantha

In addition to wedding day coverage, I offer beautiful, timeless wedding albums. Marcus & Samantha chose to invest in a beautiful, linen album of their gorgeous preppy wedding day last summer. And now it will sit on their coffee table as they welcome a new baby into the world this fall. I love it! That is […]

2017 Website & Branding Update

Alright, friends. I’m the worst with surprises. I always end up “letting the cat out of the bag” and if you’ve been following me over on Instagram, you’ve gotten a lot of hints about this… so take a good look around this website because as of this weekend… it’s gone! I’ve been working closely with […]

Behind the Scenes 2016

I usually try to blog a Behind the Scenes post at the end of the year, but with all our traveling I was away from my harddrives and couldn’t retrieve any of my images! So, what better way to kick off 2017 on the blog than with incredibly embarrassing photos of myself? I look through […]
