Behind the Scenes 2016

I usually try to blog a Behind the Scenes post at the end of the year, but with all our traveling I was away from my harddrives and couldn’t retrieve any of my images! So, what better way to kick off 2017 on the blog than with incredibly embarrassing photos of myself?

I look through some of these and I just shake my head. Wedding days are crazy and I wear so many different hats which obviously aren’t physical hats, but it looks like it with how messy my hair is. -.-

Despite my vanity, I love looking at these because it reminds me of how much I love my job, my clients, their family and friends. I am so very blessed.

So, here we go behind the scenes of 2016 + my “hilarious” commentary. I’ll start with my favorite BTS pic because it’s the least embarassing (and dare I say slightly cute) image of them all.

Starting off easy… here’s me just you know, photographing things…

And as I said, I where lots of hats. Like detail styler.

Light-tester!

“Director” “Ok, I want you to look here…”

Or as some might say a little bossy “You over there, get closer”

Dress fluffer!

Stalker…

And maybe comedian? Matt and I discuss my funny-ness or lack of all the time and I think this is proof for my funny? Maybe? I see a trend.

Or maybe I just make myself laugh?

These are what I like to call… ooops there’s Karyn.

I call this one: “Pay attention to meeeee!”

I call this one: “All the touchinggg!” My couples and their bridal parties will understand this one! 🙂

The one above also perfectly demonstrates how you should always bring a rain coat to a wedding… but being really happy your husband left his in the car when you didn’t and wear it all day even if it was black and your dress is brown… ooops.

Another fashion win for Karyn – flip flops at reception ’cause sometimes it’s just necessary and my brides are awesome and said they didn’t care. <3

And finally the most ah-maz-ing BTS pic of the year. I call this one full of regret for walking so dang far down a hill and then having to walk back up it… just zoom in a little there. It’s ALL over our faces. I LOVE my couples for trusting me… I promise it actually was worth it!

One of my favorite images with the perfect rolling hills and mountains!

I mean, it just doesn’t get any better than that! Hahahahaha. All the crying with laughter emojis!

I want to say thank you again to all my amazing couples and their family and friends for letting me capture their special days and for putting up with my awkwardness. 🙂

I also want to thank my lovely second shooters for all these images. Without them, the world would be spared these images of me being ridiculous and that just wouldn’t be right. Yep.
