In November of 2021, I had the honor of photographing with Kirsten Butler Photography. I could gush about her forever, but she’s wonderful and who I hope to be when I’m older. <3 Love you, Kirsten! This particular wedding was a favorite for both of us. One, IT WAS PURPLE!!! I love purple and have probably annoyed Emily by saying how much I loved her colors. It was also at the Carrick House which is a historic home with a venue building attached. So lovely! And to top it all off, Emily and Mitchell were two of the kindest people and assembled the most amazing team of vendors (hello, Janie!). So this purple Carrick House wedding was definitely one I wanted to share on the blog!
I just cannot tell you how rare it is to get a purple wedding. Why are there not more?!?!! It’s my absolute favorite color and I have serious regrets not having a lavender wedding myself (read about that here). But this wedding was the perfect example of how you can do lavender in the fall. Emily had the most lovely people purple details and, of course, the most amazing reception space. The head table was straight from a magazine. I cannot wait for you to see those photos!
Anyway, enjoy this peek into their day! To see more, visit Kirsten’s Instagram where she’s shared more in her highlights and feed. Also, check out the latest issue of the Kentucky Bride Magazine because this wedding is featured there too! It was that beautiful!
