Justin & Sonya: Southern Seminary Wedding Louisville, KY

A tale as old as time. Boy meets girl and falls head over heels. He knows she’s the one so over time he writes her letters. But Justin did something unique with his letters. Each contained a physical single letter written in invisible ink spelling out “Dear Sonya, will you marry me?” And that’s where Justin & Sonya’s wedding journey began. Justin knew from their first date that Sonya was his person. And Sonya quickly felt the same. Anyone who knows them knows they fit so well together. A Southern Seminary Wedding in Louisville KY was in the works.

Justin & Sonya designed their wedding day to be a joyful celebration for their families, but also a testament to the one who brought them together: Christ. Sonya being a Southern Baptist Theological Seminary student and Justin being a man of strong faith, wanted to reflect Christ in their wedding day. It was so important to them to introduce their loved ones to this place, SBTS, that brought them together and what is their first home as husband and wife. Southern Seminary in Louisville was just the perfect spot for their wedding.

There are weddings where you can just tell how excited and proud the family and wedding party are to be a part of the big day, and this was absolutely one of them! Both Justin & Sonya’s parents were so proud of their children – who they’ve grown up to be and their choice for a spouse. Their bridal party felt the same was and couldn’t have pictured a more perfect pair.

A personal blessing

Justin & Sonya have also personally been a blessing to me. Sonya has become a dear friend and is one of the first I’ve made in our new city. She is the absolute sweetest and I am so thankful for her friendship and to continue it with her now as two married women. They also haven’t met Matt yet and I am excited for him to meet them. I think Justin and Matt would be fast friends.

And now that I’m close (or past) the point of gushing, I’ll let you see just how beautiful everything was from the photos, which is what you’re here for anyway! Haha. I have so many new favorites and am floored with how amazing Sonya looks in every single picture. There are no outtakes of that girl! Just naturally incredibly beautiful.
