What wedding do you get when you mix a bride’s Jamaican heritage, a perfect summer day, and two lovers of the sea and family? This amazing wedding!
From the time Sandy and I first started chatting about her wedding, she knew she wanted a wedding inspired by her Jamaican roots and the sea. The serene feeling of the Lewis-Ginter Botanical Gardens reminded Sandy of the natural beauty of Jamaica and she knew it would be the perfect spot for her and Eric’s wedding. Their wedding colors and Sandy’s wedding gown were inspired by the colors and movements of the sea. All of the wedding favors were actually brought in from Jamaica! It was so neat to see all of Sandy’s vision of come together!
The day started with Sandy putting on her dress in the Governor’s Suite at Wyhdam Virginia Crossing. The grounds are so beautiful that we chose to do their first look and some portraits on the property as well. Then we traveled to the gardens for the rest of the wedding events. The weather was perfect for July and I felt so honored to be the one asked to photograph this incredible day.
Please enjoy looking through lots of my favorites! Eric and Sandy are so sweet together and interact so naturally in front of the camera.
