It’s an honor to photograph every wedding, but it’s especially sweet when you’ve actually had a ringside sit to watch the bride and groom’s relationship form and grow. I’ve known Abbie basically forever and I adore her entire family. They are a HUGE reason I’m a photographer today! And so to finally watch her and Austin officially become husband and wife was so special.

Austin & Abbie met at a drum major camp 6 years ago. At the time, they both knew they had met someone special and they kept their relationship going for all that time while living hours apart. And for anyone who hasn’t been in a long distance relationship, it is incredibly difficult. But somehow these two made their Virginia to South Carolina relationship last and grow through proms, graduations, separate colleges, family deaths, family illnesses, and so much more. It’s really quite easy to see how strong their relationship is by just watching them with each other. It is adorable.

I would be remiss to not mention the incredible love these two have for their families, and vice versa of course! Their entire wedding day was a family affair! As I stated before, I love Abbie’s family and after meeting Austin’s I love his too! You could not pair two more perfect families together who love the Lord, each other, and values. That was so evident in the best man/father of the groom’s speech, the maid of honor’s speech, and throughout the ceremony where Austin and Abbie stood at the foot of a cross underneath a depiction of Jesus with His arms spread wide. Such a testament to their faiths and families. Fun fact: Austin and Abbie married in the same church Matt and I did! Collinsville Church of the Brethern (and all the people) will always hold a special place in our hearts. <3
