Chris & Kristen: Boathouse at Sunday Park Wedding

I get to meet a lot of new, wonderful people as a wedding photographer, but I also get to reconnect with old friends. This wedding was one of those and it made my heart so, so happy. I met Kristen through my friend Katlyn in college. We would meet for coffee and Chick-fil-a dates and I just really enjoyed Kristen’s company. She is so full of life and fun to be around.

When she asked me about wedding photography, we were in the middle of figuring out where we were moving and I had no idea what summer 2017 would look like for us. But I knew that if Kristen and Chris wanted me to photograph their wedding, then I wanted to do it! So, I planned that no matter what I’d come back to Virginia for their wedding and it was one of the best trips.

I adored seeing Kristen and Chris tie the knot. They had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the water surrounded by people who loved them dearly. That was one of the things that really stood out to me at this wedding. Yes, it was beautiful. I loved the colors and details. Kristen’s braided hair with baby’s breath was amazing and her bouquet is a favorite to-date. But all that was overshadowed to me because of how much love was showered on Chris and Kristen. They have built a community of friends and family who love and care for them deeply and that really spoke to me. It was incredible to witness and I’m so thankful they have a whole army of people cheering them on in this new season of life.

So now, enjoy a lot of my favorites. Everything was so lovely; it was hard to narrow down. 🙂

A special thank you to the vendor team for making this day oh so lovely:
