season has started off gradually… one engagement session here, one engagement there, all until the madness of the end of April and June officially begins! But I have been loving slowly getting back into the swing of photography.

Ben & Hannah are dear friends of ours. We love them and their family and I was SO excited when Hannah contacted me about her and Ben’s engagement and wedding. I knew it was going to be a beautiful and sweet wedding just from knowing them, but after getting them behind the camera for their engagements, I know for sure their wedding day is going to be such a treat!

Just like most of my engagement sessions so far this year, we weren’t certain this one would happen on the day we had picked out. We originally planned a sunrise session in Old Town Alexandria to start off on the docks, watch the sun rise, and then stroll the old cobblestone streets for an hour. But wouldn’t you know the only rain we were expecting ALL week was for none other than Saturday morning! Sad! But Ben & Hannah were totally awesome and flexible so we moved the session to later in the afternoon. And it was great! There were clouds, but no rain in sight! And we had a lovely afternoon walking and talking about their proposal, wedding plans, and even a little theology (that means that Matt was definitely present! 🙂 Haha).

We loved spending time with them and are so looking forward to August, but hopefully seeing them sooner than that! In the meantime though, I’ll enjoy looking through these sweet images.
