This weekend was a fun one, but goodness did it wear me out! So much so that I spent most of my morning napping on the couch. I’m just exhausted! But in a great way! Our weekend recap:
1. Our weekend started Friday when we got up early and drove to Nova. I’m so thankful to have a husband who is willing to take off work to be with me for the weekend AND drive for me!
2. In Nova, we stayed at Fort Belvoir. We met our dear friends Mike and Kelly at our church in Carrollton, but they moved last summer for Mike’s job. They were so kind and let us stay with them for the weekend, even while they had a lot of family things going on. We loved spending time with them! Plus, Fort Belvoir is such a neat base! We walked around on the trails a little bit and saw the Potomac River. The coolest part though was all of the seemly white leaves hanging from the trees. So interesting!
3. The whole reason we went to Nova was for The Intentional Photographer workshop! At the end of 2014, I saw Sarah Bradshaw post on Facebook that she was holding a workshop about being an intentional photographer. This workshop was so different from all the others I’ve seen that I knew it would be a good, unique one! And after this weekend, I know that to be absolutely true. I’ve learned so much and have soooo much to think about! You can expect some very insightful though-provoking posts to come in the future!
4. We don’t really head to Northern Virginia often, so when we do we try to back as much as possible into our trips. So this trip included my workshop, seeing friends, and doing an engagement session! Tom and Rachel emailed me asking if we could do their engagement photos in IKEA and I LOVED the idea! I can’t wait to share more with you soon. But this sneak peek will have to due for now! How absolutely adorable are they?!
Have a wonderful week, friends!
