About the Lifestyle Blog

My day job is a wedding photographer, but my life consists of so much more than weddings. Here on my lifestyle blog, you’ll learn a lot more about me personally away from the camera. I love Jesus, being a wife, crafting, cooking, growing things, and so much more. I’ll document my heart here and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you are enjoying some delicious food and great fellowship with your loved ones today.

Last Thanksgiving, Matt and I were in Tahoe, CA on our honeymoon eating our pasta, which is pictured over there on the right. It was actually quite tasty even if it wasn’t very festive! Haha!

Such a fun memory!

Today, I wanted to use this blog post to say thank you.

Thanks to each and every one of you who read these blog posts. YOU are what lets me do what I love! I am so grateful to all of you for being so supportive and encouraging as I am beginning the pursuit of a dream I’ve had for years.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to list a few other thanksgivings.

I am so thankful for my husband. It is an absolute joy to wake up next to him every day. He fills my life with a lot of laughter, forgiveness, and love. His support is the reason I can pursue my dream career. I love you, Matt!

I am thankful for my family, who has always been there for me. While my family may be on the smaller side, they make up for it in heart. I feel their love and prayers all the way over here in Carrollton.

I am thankful for my friends: new and old. Friends whom have stuck with me since those toddler years and friends whom I’ve only known for a short time. I love you all and am so thankful for your friendship.

I am thankful for our new church family. We have only been at CBC for a few months, but we feel like part of the family.

I am thankful for

Karen Allen

. Not only was she the perfect wedding photographer for Matt and I, but she has become such a wonderful friend and mentor who has helped me get to where I am today. Karen, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me! I wouldn’t be where I am today without you!

I am thankful for all my 2013 clients. While I call all of you friends, I am so honored to be a part of your memories. Thank you for trusting me with your precious moments.

I am thankful for my new 2014 clients. I am blown-away at how sweet and encouraging each of you are to me and my business. I am looking forward to spending time with you, getting to know you, and capturing your once-in-a-lifetime memories. Thank you for trusting me!

And finally, I wouldn’t be able to do anything at all if it wasn’t for my Lord and Savior, Jesus. He is truly the reason I have life and all my thanksgivings are because of Him. Thank you, Lord!

Are you feeling thankful today?

Make a list of some of the things you are thankful for today. You will not be sorry you did!
