Being in this season of a house reno and lots of DIY projects, I can relate to a lot of my couples. They are usually knee-deep in DIY projects themselves. Kristy not only had the wedding projects, but she and Travis also have house projects like us! I feel like we’re “twinsies” in the house department. They also have a super cute old farmhouse that they are renovating too! Travis & Kristy have been at it for a few years longer than us and are significantly more finished than us, haha, but they get us. And so this wedding was one I had been looking forward to since we met.
October is a crazy weather month in Kentucky. You never know what you are going to get. Will it be warm or will it be chilly? Will it be sunny or will there be rain showers or will there be remnants of a hurricane? It’s all over the place! October 7th was one of those “we don’t know what we are going to get days.” All the apps said different things and the radars even disagreed. But what happened was perfect. We had a beautiful sky of clouds and no moisture all day. It was perfect and added a romantic feeling to the atmosphere. I mean really, snuggling up to your love when it’s chilly and rainy: definitely romantic.
Speaking of the DIY projects, Kristy totally rocked them. I loved the accents of lavender and all the tea cups. Did I mention I thought we were twins? Hahaha. It was such a beautiful day. The ceremony with beautiful view of Kentucky’s rolling hills. The rustic barn with amazing twinkle lights and decor. And dry weather! It was a lovely day. Kristy looked stunning in her fitted wedding gown surrounded by her closest friends. I loved getting to know their wedding party because everyone knew each other. Those wedding parties are always super fun because they have great inside jokes and just have a great time together.
Ok, I could gush on and on, but I’ll let the pictures speak for me to show how beautiful the day was! Congratulations, Travis & Kristy! Officially married after all these years! 🙂
