Back in May, I had the wonderful opportunity to third shoot/assist with my friend
again. I love shooting with her because we not only get to take pictures, but we get to hang out in downtime. And third shooting with her is fun as well because I get to hangout with
This wedding was 3 hours away in Haymarket, but I am so thankful I went! Aaron and Suzy were a dream! I love the way they look at each other and how much laughter they bring into each others lives. It’s just a joy to watch and document.
Be sure to check out Karen’s
from their wedding day! And enjoy the images I captured below. I had lots of favorites! Everything was so beautiful!
As soon as we walked into this hotel room, I fell in love with that mirror!!
Loving the composition of this… maybe I’m weird. Haha.
Then we headed to the ceremony location at the Piedmont County Club. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Look at those clouds!
Aaron and Suzy did a first look. So sweet!
Then it was time for portraits. LOVE this one!
And this is probably a new all-time favorite too! Such love!
Suzy, you were gorgeous.
When I third shoot, I try to get a little creative and add different elements into my photos, like the tree branch shown here. It’s fun and different and adds something new to the gallery Karen is creating.
Aren’t they just the sweetest?!!?!!
Love this one too!
We were able to do bridal party portraits before the ceremony too. I love it when this happens because then the post-ceremony photos go so quickly!
I’ve been a little obsessed with bouquet shots lately. Loved these girls pink and green flowers and berries.
Then it was time for the ceremony.
Beautiful location and weather!
I love the quote on the sign on the right and I think the picture on the left shows just that! Married and excited about it!
Ummm, this stone and that bouquet with their smiles? Can it get any better? Gorgeous!
New favorite bouquet shot!
Karen is not only photographer, but also “emergency-hair-fixer” haha.
This bridge was amazing. The lines!
Their reception location had the same view as the ceremony. So, so beautiful.
The groom made these cakes. So impressed!
Third round of portraits! Totally love this one! Favorite!
Aaron and Suzy, thank you so much for letting me help document your wedding day and for sharing part of your story with me.
Karen, thank you so much for letting me assist you and carry your bag when you would remember. 😉 Haha. You’re awesome and I’m so thankful to call you my friend!
