Autumn seemed to last so long this year and I am always on board for that. The leaves were brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds for a good portion of October and November, which made for many bright, color engagement sessions!
I am so excited to share Sam & Jessica’s engagement session with you. We had been planning this session for months! Sam and Jessica’s schedules are never the same with nursing and schooling and traveling and my fall was crazy too. We had one day that worked in August, but it rained! So we rescheduled for this day in November. And I’m so glad we did! We had a perfect afternoon. The leaves were perfectly yellow and the sunlight was streaming through the trees.
We met at the Henry Clay Estate in Lexington, KY. What a gorgeous place. As a native Virginian, I appreciate historical, colonial homes and this one is definitely beautiful. The grounds are kept beautiful with a lovely garden that even had blooming flowers in November! It is also the perfect place to bring your fur baby, so Sam & Jessica brought their dog Maya, who was so fun. I’ve met so many sweet pups this fall and I love it!
It was hard to narrow down the photos for this post. There were just too many with Maya, laughter, and that amazing sunlight!
