Behind the Scenes 2017

Alright, it’s that time of year again. The embarrassing behind the scenes photos of me on a wedding day. Haha. Wedding days are a whirlwind. So many things are happening. People are setting up decorations, the wedding party is getting all dolled up, family arrives from out of town, food is had and drinks are served. And that’s all excluding the ceremony! And it’s my job to document all those precious moments, and while one side of my camera looks beautiful. The other doesn’t always look that way. Hahahaha.

This year this post will be a little smaller because it was a transition year for KJP from Virginia to Kentucky, but there are still some gems that were caught this year. You’ll notice I’m wearing the same dress in most of these photos. This summer, I invested in an incredible black dress from eShakti. It served me so well this wedding season that I’ve already bought another for next year!

But you can see for yourself, love this dress!

But here we go with a few less-embarrassing photos.

Details shots may look great on one side of the camera. The other… not so much.

And here’s where it gets fun. Haha. Like sometimes it’s hard to get my words out and I confuse people.

I do whatever it takes (within reason) to get the shot. Karyn 1, bush 0.

I refer to this section as “Can you spot Karyn?”

And finally sometimes, a groomsmen just has to get the shot while I am falling over from laughter.

Goodness, I look back at this spot and reminisce about the wonderful transitional year I had. I was anxious about 2017 knowing that it would be so different for my business, but it’s been so wonderful. I have loved every minute, every new person I’ve met, every new place I’ve visited. I am so thankful for all the blessings this year has brought my business and I’m super excited for the year 2018 is shaping up to be! I already have 9 amazing weddings booked and I’m hoping for more after “engagement season” so next year’s post should be REAL wonderful… (wonderful=embarrassing).
