About the Lifestyle Blog

My day job is a wedding photographer, but my life consists of so much more than weddings. Here on my lifestyle blog, you’ll learn a lot more about me personally away from the camera. I love Jesus, being a wife, crafting, cooking, growing things, and so much more. I’ll document my heart here and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.

Personal: 2014 Christmas Mini Session

Today’s post is a bit different!

As a photographer, I’m always behind the camera. I love it because I do love composing and capturing images. But the thing about always being behind the camera is that I don’t often have photos of myself, or even less, photos of me and my husband.

So my friend

and I decided to get together to swap quick minis so we could each have a photo for our Christmas card.

The winter weather has been pretty mild here in Hampton Roads, EXCEPT for the day we swapped sessions. It was so cold and windy which turned our mini sessions into super minis. I think we did both our families in like 20 minutes. Haha. We wanted back into our warm cars!

But in that short amount of time we were able to capture some cute images. I chose one image for our Christmas card, but wanted to share a few of my other favorites with you too!

I feel like these pictures represent Matt and I’s relationship really well. Laughter and awkwardness.

Please excuse the mess that is my hair. Haha. It was windy. I also didn’t realize just how long it was until seeing these images. How does Matt put up with that?!

Thanks so much

for taking these for us! We love them!
