I met Michele in 2011 when she came to visit Virginia Tech. At the time, she was attending Bridgewater College and preparing to transfer to Tech. Because we had a mutual friend, we ended up becoming roommates for my last year of college.
Over the course of my senior year, Michele and I got really close. She would come into my room, sit on my bed, and talk with me about everything from school to boys to God to the future. I loved her being in the next room!
Michele was my source of sanity when it came to boys my last semester at Tech. I was waiting for my then boyfriend, Matt, to propose! I was so frustrated, but Michele helped me be patient reminding me how much Matt cared for me and that I just needed to let him do things in his own time. Well, Matt did eventually propose (the day before we graduated!), and I couldn’t wait to tell Michele! We squealed in our apartment for quite some time that Thursday morning.
It was crazy how close we got in such a short amount of time, but I am so thankful God placed her in my life. I asked her to be the maid of honor at my wedding because she is seriously the person who knows me best (other than Matt, but he couldn’t have that job, haha). And she did a wonderful job throwing me an awesome bridal shower and really fun bachlorette party: everything being very suited to my personality. Again, I couldn’t ask for a better friend!
So when Michele asked me to take some senior portraits for her, I was thrilled! She is SO photogenic and natural in front of the camera, as you’ll see below. I’m so glad I got to spend time with her on campus again.
Enjoy lots of my favorites!
We started at the iconic Burruss Hall.
Then, we turned around to get the drillfield behind her! The drillfield is so pretty early in the morning with the frost and low hanging fog.
I was loving this tree and the sunlight. It may have been 30 degrees, but she was rocking that dress! Plus, Michele is just absolutely gorgeous!! Favorite!
Michele is studying Construction Engineering Management and pretty much lives in this building some weeks!
Another favorite! Love Hokie Stone!
Loving her hardhat from her future employer, Holder!
Michele also brought this cute and cozy hat as a prop. It is super fitting for those cold Blacksburg days!
This vine-y area is one of my favorite spots on campus!
Another favorite! How beautiful is she?!
As we were wrapping up our session, Michele found this tree and climbed in! Love her and the colors!
