Growing up, I was blessed to have an incredible church family, including the Pastor’s family. I’ve known Pastor Roy’s family my whole life. They’ve seen me grow up and get married. I’ve seen their family grow and develop as well, attending weddings, baby showers, and even baby sitting for their children.
Ben is Pastor Roy’s son. We go way back. Apparently, I was the first baby Ben ever held! What was my mom thinking?! Just kidding, haha.
But the first story that pops in my head when I think of Ben is the first time he met Matt. After Matt and I had been dating for a few months, he came home with me from Tech and attended my church. Matt walked into the sanctuary, only to be spotted by Ben. Without a single word or introduction, Ben takes his two fingers, points at his eyes, and then points at Matt, implying “I’ve got my eyes on you!” Hahahaha. Matt was so confused because he had no idea who this tall, tattooed, bearded man was making this gesture at him. I can imagine his confusion and intimidation. Too funny.
Earlier this year, Ben approached me about photographing his fall wedding. I couldn’t have been more honored to capture these two create a union and start a new family. Ben and Angela had an intimate destination ceremony at
in Clarksville, Virginia. This town is on Matt and I’s route to my parents home and each time we drive by I say that we need to stop and visit one day because it’s soooo cute! And after photographing this wedding, I’d have to say that is absolutely true!
Ben and Angela spent their wedding day surrounded by their closest friends and family. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fall day. Please enjoy lots of my favorites from their wedding day!
Ben & Angela, thank you so much for letting me be apart of your wedding day. It was a joy to witness and capture. Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon to Florida!
