About the Lifestyle Blog

My day job is a wedding photographer, but my life consists of so much more than weddings. Here on my lifestyle blog, you’ll learn a lot more about me personally away from the camera. I love Jesus, being a wife, crafting, cooking, growing things, and so much more. I’ll document my heart here and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.

2016 Hair Donation Journery

It’s a new year which meant time for a change. Not a new diet plan or list of goals. Something more drastic… something crazy! Well, maybe not that crazy, but it is definitely something I will have to get used to.

I finally cut my hair!

If you’ve been around here a while, then you know I have long hair. If you’ve been around here longer, then you know why I have long hair. I’ve wrestled with deciding when to cut my hair for the last year. How long is long enough? From the interactions I had with you all last year (thanks so much for your comments and input!), I decided to wait and let my hair grow a few more inches. And I’m actually really glad I did! Not only did I get to have beautiful long hair in my anniversary portraits and at one of my dear friend’s weddings, but I was able to cut off over 15 inches and still have my hair below my shoulders! Yay! That’s 3 more donated inches than last time and what’s left is much more enjoyable!

I’ll be sending my locks to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. After reading about their business practices and processes, I’ve decided they are the company I’d like to entrust my hair to. It’s just a small, small way I can make an impact in the world.

That was the last 4 and a half years in the making. Who knows what the next 4 will bring!
